The GA that was held virtually because of the corona pandemia.
The BEWELL project was presented by Swarovski during the IDTechEx Virtual Conference on “Opportunities for Printed & Flexible Electronics”. The presentation focused on the experiences of Swarovski with Printed Electronics for different usage scenarios and highlighted current “highs & lows” of the technologies.
For this LOPEC again booths were planned by some partners, VTT, CEA, Swarovski and VARTA.
Unfortunately, the event was canceled due to corona pandemia.
At this project meeting achievements were discussed.
During an event organized together with the European Enterprise Network (EEN) and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) the BEWELL project was presented with first available demonstrators to other Tyrolean companies and R&D institutions at the Swarovski Manufaktur in Wattens (Austria).
At that meeting the first project results were presented to the Project Officer PO and the Reviewers.
The results were discussed very intensively. Many recommendations were given to bring the project on the best track.
The project was also represented at the European Workshop on Smart Bioelectronic and Wearable Systems on 22-23.10.2019 at European Commission (DG CONNECT) in Brussels.
In October 2019, the next project meeting was held at the VARTA premises at Ellwangen. At this meeting the first layout of the SWAROVSKI demonstrator was defined in general.
22. – 23.5.2019, BEWELL’s steering group had its second annual steering group meeting in Stuttgart, Germany.
VTT, HdM Stuttgart, Beiersdorf, IMEC, Polar, Swarovski, VMB and CEA participated on the meeting.
General project management, WP progress and planning was on the agenda. The participants also went on a guided lab tour at HdM concentrating printing related technologies.
Next meeting planned at Varta, on October 8. – 9. in Ellvangen.
